Administrate has been recognized by CIO Applications Magazine as the exclusive recipient of “Top 10 HR Tech Solutions Companies - 2021,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry, and is also named among “,” reflecting its broader leadership. This profile has been developed by the CIO Applications research and editorial team based on insights from an interview with John Peebles, CEO.
“For the last ten years, we have focused on building tools and the infrastructure that can address these quandaries. Our platform acts as the central repository of records for training teams, which they can easily access for their required operations,” begins John Peebles, CEO of Administrate. “We are focused on helping training organizations and L&D teams build scalable and revenue-generating learning programs.”
Founded in 2012, Administrate has designed a comprehensive, configurable, and cloud-based training management platform that enables organizations to streamline their learning and development functions. Also, it allows clients to manage all their resources— documents, course catalogs, learning content—from one single location and seamlessly distribute multimodal learning content.
In an interview with CIO Applications, Peebles shares insights about the company’s training management system and how it is helping enterprises in conducting and scaling training operations.
Who are your typical customers, and what kind of challenges do they face?
Most of our clients are multinational organizations involved in different industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and logistics. These enterprises have complex operations and a broad ecosystem of education products that often bog down training teams with time-consuming operations.
To solve this, we consolidate or integrate various learning tools with our training management system, helping organizations build a learning tech infrastructure approach to their training operations. Our system can also be easily integrated with our client’s primary business system. For instance, Administrate can integrate with manufacturers’ material requirements planning (MRP) system, and it can help them in scheduling training for various candidates. In this instance, with insights about candidates’ learning paths, manufacturers can comprehend which candidates have sincerely completed their training and select the suitable ones. It saves the team a lot of time and directly correlates to improved manufacturing outcomes and reduction of errors.
What are some of the features and functionalities of your training management system?
Using Administrate, our clients can manage all kinds of training, including onboarding training, annual compliance training, and hands-on training. Our product has a powerful document management and control system.
Administrate brings together disparate learning tech tools and business systems to provide a single interface and system of record for training operations, creating efficiency at scale and empowering datadriven decision making
The platform includes a built-in CRM specific to the training function, so teams can store data traditional learning products can’t access. Our clients have the flexibility to add custom data fields, sync data with their human resources information system (HRIS), and even integrate with existing CRMs like Salesforce. In addition, our built-in event management system offers training teams the ability to manage live, online, and virtual instructor-led courses while helping them track information about instructors, certificates, and so on.
An integral component of our system is our reporting engine that enables training teams to build reports to tell the story about how their training impacts business outcomes. Our clients can also integrate their other critical learning tech with our system, either through native integrations or our open API for custom integration. Finally, another component of our system I’d like to mention is our e-commerce and booking portal, where learners can log in and purchase a course, or a manager can access a list of courses they need to assign to their team members.
What does your client onboarding process look like, and what kind of support does Administrate provide to its customers?
Clients can get up and running with the solution within 30 days. Our clients have to go through different phases, but we strive our best to provide value quickly. Throughout their user journey with us, we take a partnership approach to ensure we deliver the best solution and get the best value possible. This journey involves working with our implementation team on projects and also getting access to our tech support team. We also have account managers who bring their expertise and a consultative approach to solve our clients’ biggest business challenges throughout the lifecycle of our partnership with them.
In a nutshell, I would say, when you buy Administrate, you are not just getting our software; you are being supported by a full-fledged team of experts.
Could you please tell us a customer success story that you have had in the recent past?
CAE Healthcare, a healthcare training organization, approached us right before the lockdown. They had initially approached us to provide a solution to help them more efficiently manage training for their employees. Then, the pandemic outbreak caused them to shift strategies. CAE Healthcare was asked by the Canadian government to supply 10,000 ventilator prototypes to hospitals across the country and turn around training on these new ventilators in record time. To cater to such demand, CAE Healthcare needed a training platform to train thousands of frontline healthcare professionals on how to use the prototype, so they could save lives.
This is where we came in and provided them with a ready-to-scale training platform in a short span of time. Using our platform, CAE Healthcare ensured training was a key component of the distribution of the ventilator prototype. They were able to design this prototype and provide critical training to the healthcare professionals using it in just 11 days. We are proud to help and empower CAE Healthcare to deliver its innovative, life-saving solution in response to this critical time in the world.
What have you envisioned for the future of Administrate?
We are an agile organization and believe in driving value for clients. This is essentially helping us to accelerate our growth and script more success stories in the future. Over the next two years, we particularly envision growth in North America and Europe, but we also have a global team to help enterprises around the world.
Another element that really excites us is our capability to leverage the data within our platform to help business leaders make the right decisions. Currently, we are testing an AI scheduler and planner that will help customers plan out very complex schedules within a few minutes that would otherwise take months. After successful testing, we will be rolling it out in the next couple of months.
