Not all superheroes wear capes, some leverage technology to save lives; one prime example is the CEO & President of 911Cellular LLC, Chad Salahshour. From the very beginning, the veteran has been an agent of victim obviation. Inclined towards helping people not fall victims of any crime—it was during his stint at the local police department that he came across a ruinous situation that turned out to be a defining moment of his life. Salahshour recollects, “My chief was approached by several other local chiefs as unfortunately many times the location that was reported to the dispatch center for public safety agency was inaccurate; especially, if the person was inside a building.” After researching about the situation in hand, Salahshour was deeply dismayed as a lack of technological availability was causing numerous people to lose their lives. Determined to overcome this predicament, Salahshour worked with his team on this project for three years, and came up with algorithms and methodologies that would significantly enhance location reporting—laying the founding stone of 911Cellular LLC. Today, by combining technology and law enforcement, the firm delivers reliable and convenient Indoor Positioning System (IPS)—Your 911 to institutions of all types and sizes across the country.

Through Your 911 system, 911Cellular provides the proper tools to both dispatch centers and smartphone users to allow fast and accurate location tracking.

The firm’s IPS technology doesn’t require an emergency caller to speak as it can track them accurately using the Wi-Fi location that they are connected with. Further, 911Cellular has created a symbol engine which can develop features and functionalities based on the components that clients drop.

Salahshour further mentions about the need for a provision to send messages quickly in case of an emergency situation. The emergency message can be sent out using multiple channels such as social media, SMS, and phone call but the problem with these systems being slow hinders the precise usage of these mediums. Realizing the quandary, 911Cellular has developed a mass notification system where users can interface with external devices—phone systems, loudspeakers, camera, TV—as well as send out an emergency SMS. Apart from this, the firm has added another product to their portfolio called Panic button for critical circumstances. These are cloud-based buttons wherein individuals can download or install them on their desktop or laptop. In times of an emergency, a person needs to press the button on the keyboard and immediately the location is captured and reported to either internal security team or local public safety or both simultaneously to get instant response automatically.

Salahshour mentions, an extra feather that was added onto the firm’s cap of achievements, “When The National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) tested our systems and stated that our technology was far better than what FCC rules have called for by 2021.” After being tested by NIST, the technology is now being deployed at more municipalities and counties, universities, hospitals, and private corporations to facilitate report incidents and crimes anonymously.

Over the years Salahshour and his firm is working towards a singular mission—every life matters and we want to light up that every day. He further mentions that the company aims to deploy their technology for the betterment of the stakeholders in 2018 to 2020. Through its collaboration with 23 municipalities, the firm is looking for partnerships to expand and get into every municipal, state, and fellow governmental agency and cater to 35 percent of all the communities in the US.
