They furnish their devices with telemetry functionality and create new devices with extensive remote management capabilities. This is an interesting case because Traxens uses cellular and satellite connectivity together. Since satellite transmission is expensive, the company needed an optimized solution, and LwM2M enables it.Connecting their devices to our IoT Device Management platform via the Lightweight M2M standard allowed Traxens to collect information from machines they lease and keep them up to date by issuing firmware over-the-air (FOTA) upgrades whenever they are needed. The company is now also able to track the status of its packages, including parameters such as temperature or humidity. The collected device data allowed their ops teams to perform proactive maintenance and resolve any encountered problems in a much more efficient way than before.
