Pluribus Networks Launches Latest Version of Open Netvisor Linux for Dell
FREMONT, CA: Pluribus Networks, a provider of data center network solutions, has launched Open Netvisor Linux (ONVL) for Dell, Version 2.3.2.
ONVL is based on the Pluribus Virtualization-Centric Fabric architecture with a distributed controller that provides unprecedented agility, insight and economics. Based on cluster technologies, ONVL does not need any external controller to federate into a fabric. It offers fabric-wide management and visibility, optimization and connectivity of virtualized networking resources.
In addition, the new version provides advantages like — the ability to create an agile, fully connected and single fabric despite the number of switches, with the added profit of a dramatic simplification of deploying and upholding the data center network; it unlocks the enormous hardware potential found in the Dell Open Networking family switches by delivering wire-speed and low-latency switching with complete Layer-2 and Layer-3 compatibility for existing infrastructures. The new version also offers the fully distributed controller architecture based upon proven protocols, which provides a familiar but fabric-wide management interface.
